கோவையில் வீட்டு சமையல் சுவையையே மிஞ்சும் இடமா இது? 🤔

 #itaste #gobisandavillas #coimbatore

வீட்டு சமையல் சுவையை தேடி போன எனக்கு, கோவையில் கிடைத்தது ஒரு செம்மையான Kongu-style விருந்து! 😍🔥 Location; https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gobi+Sanda+Vilas+(Kongunaatin+suvai)/@11.0187628,76.989645,17z/data=!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x3ba8550077b08369:0xd33c1ebcc9f9c028!2sGobi+Sanda+Vilas+(Kongunaatin+suvai)!8m2!3d11.0186568!4d76.9897181!10e9!16s%2Fg%2F11xd3d8z_d!3m5!1s0x3ba8550077b08369:0xd33c1ebcc9f9c028!8m2!3d11.0186568!4d76.9897181!16s%2Fg%2F11xd3d8z_d?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDkxNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D I was in Coimbatore and suddenly had one of those moments where you just want to sit down and eat a proper homemade-style meal. No fancy nonsense… just rice, kuzhambu, meat and that feeling of “Amma veetla saapta madhiri irukkanum!” 😄 That’s when I came across Gobi Sanda Vilas.

The place has a really nice interior, and the service was warm and welcoming. I dropped in for lunch, had a look at the menu, and as usual… choosing what to eat became the biggest problem. 😂 Finally, I went with their Mutton Biryani, Mutton Non-Veg Meals, Kola Urundai, along with their signature dishes — Munnar Idicha Milagu Kozhi and Puliyampatti Mutton Varuval. And then came the actual food marathon! 😄 The Mutton Non-Veg Meals came with cabbage poriyal, vazhakkai varuval, beetroot pachadi, dry nethili thokku, rice, mutton kuzhambu with mutton pieces, chicken kuzhambu, fish kuzhambu, rasam, pachapuli rasam, and finally curd with gulkand. Basically, by the time everything arrived, the banana leaf was looking like it had taken a full-time job. 😂 I started with the Mutton Biryani. It had a mild flavour, and the mutton was cooked perfectly. Interestingly, it reminded me a lot of the mutton biryani I had at home the previous weekend. 😄 The lemon flavour was a little overpowering for me, but overall it was a very comforting, homemade-style biryani.

But the real star for me was the Mutton Non-Veg Meals. The mutton kuzhambu was thick, rich, and went beautifully with the rice. The mutton pieces were cooked really well too. It had that simple, authentic flavour that makes you keep mixing “konjam innum kuzhambu podunga” with the rice. 😂
The chicken kuzhambu was excellent as well, and the fish kuzhambu had a nice flavour without being overly tangy. Both worked really well with the rice. And then there was the Nethili Karuvattu Thokku — dry nethili, loads of onions, and plenty of flavour. Mix that with hot rice and… yeah, diet plans can wait until tomorrow. 😂 The Mutton Kola Urundai was good too. Nothing particularly extraordinary compared with the other dishes, but a nice, familiar kola that does its job. The signature dishes were where things got more interesting. The Munnar Idicha Milagu Kozhi had a lovely pepper flavour and just the right amount of spice. The Puliyampatti Mutton Varuval was also really good, with plenty of flavour packed into the meat.
After all that, the curd with gulkand was the perfect way to finish the meal. The curd itself felt noticeably different — creamy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The gulkand added that little sweet finish that made it feel like the meal had ended on a proper high. So, if you ask me: Mutton Biryani or Mutton Non-Veg Meals? For me, definitely the Mutton Non-Veg Meals. Not because the biryani was bad — it wasn't. But the meals had that authentic Kongu-style, homely flavour that I was actually looking for when I came to this place. A satisfying lunch, some really good kuzhambu, plenty of mutton, and enough food to make me question all my life decisions by the end of it. 😂 If you're in Coimbatore and craving a meal that feels a little like eating at home, Gobi Sanda Vilas is definitely a place worth checking out. Watch the full video to see what I ordered, how it tasted, and whether it really lives up to the “homemade food” vibe! ❤️ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

கோவையில் ₹850-க்கு வாழை இலை விருந்தா?!

 #itaste #coimbatore #vaalaiellaivirunthu

கோவையில் ₹850-க்கு வாழை இலை விருந்தா?! Location; https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nanjai+Virundhu/@11.0164018,76.969613,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x3ba859e577e10fcb:0xea98d6188651d2ec!8m2!3d11.0163965!4d76.9721879!16s%2Fg%2F1pp2tglv4?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDkwMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

It was Virunthu time, and since I was in Coimbatore, I decided to try the **Nanjai Vaazhai Ilai Virunthu**. It’s a decent place, although parking can be a bit difficult. There are quite a lot of dishes to choose from on the menu, but the Vaazhai Ilai Virunthu sounded tempting, so that’s what I went for. And yes… let me list out everything that landed on my banana leaf! 😄 Starting with **prawn pickle, half a boiled egg, mutton blood poriyal, tomato chicken, pepper chicken, naatu kozhi, mutton chops, mutton intestine, mutton head curry, nethili fry, quail fry, chicken biryani**, followed by **chicken kulambu, mutton kulambu, fish kulambu, rasam, curd with gulkand**, and finally **ice cream**.
That’s a feast fit for a king, isn’t it? 😄 The **chicken biryani** was good — nice flavours, and the meat was tender and tasty. The **nethili fry, mutton sukka, and naatu kozhi** were also quite good. But unfortunately, most of the other dishes were just average.

I honestly felt they could have done much better, especially considering the price. If you’re ordering individual dishes like the biryani or some of the other items separately, this place might actually be worth trying. But I had the **Vaazhai Ilai Virunthu for ₹850**, and for that price, I felt the overall taste and experience were below average. For ₹850, there are quite a few places that offer an **excellent buffet with even more variety and better overall taste**. So, unfortunately, **I was quite disappointed with this Virunthu**. But that’s just my experience. Watch the full video and let me know what you think! ❤️ -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🍗🔥 Shawaya, Shawarma & One Crazy Mango Salad! 😍 | T&T Kerala, Coimbatore

 #itaste #t&tkerala #coimbatore

🔥 Juicy Shawaya, Crispy Shawarma & a Mango Salad You NEED to Try! 🍗 We went hungry… and T&T Kerala made sure we left very happy! 😍 Location; https://www.google.com/maps/place/T%26T+Coimbatore/@10.9761948,76.9619158,15z/data=!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x3ba859004b59ed8f:0x4aeb3c02e8b35028!2sT%26T+Coimbatore!8m2!3d10.9761962!4d76.9619206!10e9!16s%2Fg%2F11xm1vlm_t!3m5!1s0x3ba859004b59ed8f:0x4aeb3c02e8b35028!8m2!3d10.9761962!4d76.9619206!16s%2Fg%2F11xm1vlm_t?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDgwNS4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

This time, I had a serious craving for some grilled chicken. And when the craving hits, there’s no point pretending we have self-control! 😂 So, we landed at T&T Kerala on Palakkad Road, Coimbatore. The first thing you notice is the parking — nice and spacious, which is already a big plus. And before you even enter the restaurant, you can see the chicken grilling outside. Not one… not two… multiple grilling machines running together! 🔥 At this point, the chicken itself is basically calling you inside. 😂 The restaurant has plenty of seating, and they serve grilled chicken with their own little twist. So, what did we order? Chicken Shawaya, Chicken Shawarma, Shawarma Rice and Ice Lemon Tea. First up — the Chicken Shawaya. This was a whole grilled chicken, served with four kuboos and a plate of mango salad. And the chicken was generously drenched in this special gravy. Then came the supporting cast — mayonnaise, beetroot sauce and mint chutney, all sitting there in little sauce bottles, basically saying, “Dip me… you know you want to!” 😂 And honestly… the chicken was really good. The thigh pieces were juicy, tender and full of flavour. Add the sauces and that mango salad to the mix, and the combination was heavenly. But the breast piece… hmm… 😬 It was a little dry and honestly, not really my cup of tea.
Next came the Chicken Shawarma. And this one was another winner. Thin roti wrapped around juicy chicken, with French fries inside giving that nice little crunch with every bite. Juicy chicken + soft roti + crispy fries… Yep. That works! 🔥
Then we tried the Shawarma Rice. This came with shawarma chicken and Arabian-style rice. The rice was somewhat like mandi, but it was less flavourful and less greasy. Personally, I felt the rice was a little dry.
If I had to choose between the three, I'd definitely go for the Chicken Shawaya or the Chicken Shawarma before the rice. But overall, T&T Kerala was a really good experience. And one final piece of advice… DO NOT underestimate that mango salad! 😂 In fact, order an extra plate. Because once you start eating that mango salad with the grilled chicken and sauces… you’ll understand why I’m telling you this! 😋🔥

Erode-ல இந்த ஹோட்டலுக்கு ஏன் இவ்வளவு கூட்டம்?

 #itaste #erode #mamanbiryanistall

Erode-ல இந்த ஹோட்டலுக்கு ஏன் இவ்வளவு கூட்டம்? Location; https://www.google.com/maps/place/Maman+Briyani+Stall+-+Thindal/@11.3150869,77.6666791,750m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x3ba96f687f4fe8c5:0x24d29924093f8ddd!8m2!3d11.3150817!4d77.669254!16s%2Fg%2F11srqm9_s9?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDcyMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D So... everyone kept saying, "You HAVE to try Maman Biryani Stall in Erode!" Naturally, we fell for it. 😅 While we were in Erode, we headed to Maman Biryani Stall on Perundurai Road, Thindal, expecting something legendary.

The place itself? Beautiful traditional Kongu-style setup. Nice ambience, clean, and definitely gives you confidence before the food even arrives. We started with the Kongu Style Biryani. It was... decent. Good Kongu flavours, cooked well, but nothing that made me stop eating and question my life choices. Then came the meals. You get two options: 🍛 Normal Non-Veg Meals 🍗 Special Non-Veg Meals The Special version simply adds two dry meat dishes depending on whether you choose chicken or mutton. I went with the Normal Meals, and ordered Mutton Kothu Kari and Pichu Potta Naatukoli separately.

Now here's where things got interesting... The Chicken Kulambu was good. But the real hero of the table was the Karuvaatu Kulambu. The nethili karuvaadu with those soft brinjals... now THAT deserved the attention. Easily the best part of the meal. The Mutton Kothu Kari? Average. Pichu Potta Naatukoli? Also average. I've honestly had much better versions elsewhere. Final Verdict This wasn't a bad meal. But considering the crowd, the hype, and all the recommendations... I kept asking myself, "Is this what everyone is waiting in line for?" 🤔 Good place. Good ambience. Decent food. But if you're expecting a meal that'll make you drive back to Erode just for another plate... ...you might leave wondering if you missed the famous dish. 🍺😱 This Bangalore Brewery Blew Me Away! 🍻🔥 Great Beer, Amazing Food 🍕🍖🍤 & Heavenly Dessert 🍰🤤

From beer tasting to tiramisu heaven – this Bangalore brewery is a foodie's dream! 🍕🍺

#itaste #thebierlibrary #bangalore Location; https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Bier+Library/@12.9392258,77.6235366,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x3bae1567222caab1:0xb79813f6366bfe3c!8m2!3d12.9392206!4d77.6261115!16s%2Fg%2F11g1ndr83k?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDYwMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 🍺 This time, we headed to one of my favorite hangout spots in Koramangala, Bangalore – a place where great food meets freshly brewed beer and good vibes! Weekends here are usually packed tighter than Bangalore traffic, and getting a table often needs a reservation. Luckily, we visited on a weekday afternoon, so we walked right in without any planning.

One interesting thing here – no waiters are taking your orders. You scan, browse, and order everything right from your mobile phone. Technology and laziness working together perfectly! 😄 Since I can never decide what beer to order, I did what any confused person would do – I ordered the beer-tasting platter with 7 varieties. That way I could pretend to be a beer expert for a few minutes. Now, I'm definitely not a beer connoisseur. If someone asks me to identify beer notes, aromas, and all those fancy terms, I'll probably say, "Yep... tastes like beer!" 🤣 But honestly, every single one tasted good. For food, we went absolutely crazy and ordered: 🍕 Pepperoni Pizza 🍕 Mixed Pork Pizza 🐷 Chilli Billy Pork 🍔 Beef Burger 🍗 Honey Glazed Chicken Wings 🥩 BBQ Lamb Chops 🍤 Butter Garlic Prawns 🍟 French Fries For drinks, we tried: 🥥 Piña Colada 🍓 Raspberry Lemonade And to finish things off: 🍰 Pull Me Up Tiramisu Every dish that arrived looked like it belonged in a food magazine. And thankfully, it tasted just as good as it looked. The Chilli Billy Pork completely stole the show. The meat was unbelievably tender, and even the fat simply melted in my mouth. Every bite was packed with flavor.
The pizzas were another highlight. Thin crust, loaded with toppings, perfectly baked, and dangerously addictive.
The BBQ lamb chops had a lovely smoky flavor with punchy spices that made me keep going back for "just one more bite."

The butter garlic prawns were juicy, the wings were delicious, the drinks were refreshing, and the tiramisu... wow! Soft, creamy, and so light that it practically disappeared the moment it touched my tongue.

Overall, this was one of those meals where both the presentation and taste scored top marks. The only thing that shocked me a little? The bill! 😅 But if you're looking for great food, fresh beer, and a fantastic atmosphere in Bangalore, this place definitely deserves a spot on your must-visit list. 📍 Have you been here before? Let me know your favorite dish in the comments!
