Yes, you heard me right .. the first BUS THEMED RESTAURANT in Karur. A real bus that’s modified as a restaurant. You could sit inside the bus or on the rooftop.

This bus-themed restaurant is located in Thanthonimalai, Karur. Just opposite to police head office. Location link above... A great idea with nice food .. the inside of the bus is spacious and looks decent the only downside that I felt is the heat... since the bus is standing in the open sun for the whole day and with no ventilation, the inside of the bus was an oven.., while discussing with the owners they were saying that they will be installing air conditioners soon... so when it happens, then sitting inside the bus would be classy...

                                   

The rooftop is completely the opposite... with the cool breeze, open dining on the roof would be an amazing experience ... There is also a little projector on the rooftop with mild music... the ambiance is just great... The food was good... I ordered the mutton biryani, grill chicken, shawarma, chicken noodles, and chicken chukka... though I did not like the biryani and the chicken noodles...the grill chicken was excellent ... the shawarma was also good... the chicken sukka would have been amazing with White rice.... On a whole, a great place to dine ... the ambiance of a real bus is the start here and if you want to experience it .. then you have to try it out...

Well, I did ask him why Ramzan Biryani? Thinking that his shop was named after the Ramzan festival but his story was quite different.... he says his shop is named after his wife. Since she was born on the month of Ramzan, she was named Ramzan Begam .. and that’s how the shop got its name.

                                        

A small shop with 2 or 3 tables which serves only biryani ... and for the side dishes there are chilli chicken, egg gravy, etc

                                       

A simple but good biryani.. that's totally worth 70 INR. The Boneless chili 65 was also amazing... very tender and lovely masalas....100 gms of chili 65 costs 40 Rs., which is very economical A great experience that I recommend this place if you are looking for economical biryani in tiruchengodu..

A passion for native Kangeyam cow breeds made this owner Mr. Jeyraj start this place naming it “ kangeyam kaalaiyar” The ambiance of this hotel is a typical village-style hotel with bullock carts in the front, coconut leaf ( Keethu ) thatched roofs, etc., Though their kangeyam jallikattu bull used to be tied in front of this hotel, recently it was shifted to the farm ... I had to go to the farm to take a few clippings of the bull which I will share here...

The food was different to the other places .., I wouldn’t say it was amazing but the country chicken varuval and mutton varuval tasted simple yet superb despite its meat being a little hard, No fancy ingredients are added to it, which makes these two dishes simple yet wonderful ... They had this mild spiciness as well as mild salt to it and tasted like a home-cooked meal. Both the country chicken varuval and mutton varuval went really well along with white rice.

The biryani was also ok.. but for the price, it had a small chicken piece, Which was a little disappointing... Altogether a good ambiance and food that can be tried. If the bull is in the front then you are lucky and get a chance to click a pic with the bull...

A definite place to come for its ambience as well as its food... 11 to 11 restaurant is situated on the outskirts of Karur city on the Karur to Namakkal highway... I did go there a few days back to have dinner and yes had a fabulous time... This time I wanted to try out their lunch menu, especially the special non-veg thali that they have which is priced at 399/- In this special nonveg thali they serve country chicken soup, chicken biryani, chapati, white rice, mutton, chicken uppu Kari, fish fry, veg kootu and poriyal, chicken kulambu, mutton kulambu, fish kulambu, rasam, buttermilk, appalam, payaasam, and finally ice cream ( you have 3 flavours to choose from)

The soup was spectacular, a fantastic country chicken rasam which I loved. The biryani too was excellent. The mutton curry is to be mentioned definitely. It went along so good with the chapati. An excellent dish and a star dish in this thali... if there was a parotta this mutton would have been much more fantastic.., the downside was that it did not go too good along with the white rice... The uppu Kari was also excellent.., the fish fry was a balsa fish and it also tasted good. The kulambu for the white rice tasted as usual... The payaasam was good and I like that too and finally, for the dessert, there were 3 flavours of ice cream ( vanilla, strawberry & chocolate) I took the chocolate and they served it with chocolate sauce, tutti fruit and sprinkles. A good lunch that can be tried for sure.

This youngster, after quitting his job in Singapore has come back and started this small outlet exclusively for biryani and a few chicken dishes.

On Wednesday there is basmati rice biryani, Sunday’s are mutton biryani..,

                                         The cost of the dishes is very normal. A chicken biryani costs only 80 INR, the pepper chicken, and uppu Kari is just 70 INR.

                                        

                                        

                                        

How did the biryani taste? I felt that the biryani was just ok.. for 80 rs I think the taste is justified. It’s hard to give good taste with the budget of 80 rs.. but what the biryani lacked the chicken dishes won... the pepper chicken tasted amazing .. the full pepper in the chicken when bit into gives a burst of flavour in ur mouth.... the pepper chicken mixed with biryani was very nice... if only they had white rice the combination would have been amazing...... I did suggest them make white rice too..... 

 Although I liked other chicken dishes like the fried items as well as the uppu Kari, the pepper chicken was just awesome. One of the best pepper chickens that I’ve had.....

With its newly constructed building, the 11 to 11 Restuarant has become a new attraction to the family who wants to spend time together and have a lovely evening. With great food and an excellent ambiance, the 11 to 11 restaurant is definitely a crowd puller. It’s just been a month since this new place has opened up. It has got AC rooms, stylish separate rooms on top of these ac rooms. And towards the back, there is an open space where customers can sit in the open and dine. Along the sides also are huts where people can sit. The food is good with a variety of dishes. From kongunadu, northindian to Chinese you have it all here...

                                    

The nallamppatti chicken made from country chicken with oil and small onions was excellent and so was the mutton thava, which was a dry dish with caramelized onions that gave a crunch and sweet taste. The biryani was also good and tasted lovely.

An enjoyable food with the perfect ambiance for family and kids ... oh yes there is a small play area for the kids and I did witness many adults becoming children.
