This mess, with its friendly staff, has been serving delicious food for many years, and it has become a go-to place for many food lovers in that locality.

So compared to their breakfast, I could say that their lunch was just average. But if you are in this area for lunch, then Kumaran mess is a good option to have a good biryani or meals with fish fry and chicken fry. ---------------------------------------------------------------

True to its name, this maanthottathu Virunthu hotel is situated on a farm. Not many mango trees are seen .., because the hotel is separated from the farm. Although the dining area has seats for few people it looks cozy with a village-type look.

This place has its own country chicken and kadaknath chicken farm. The kadaknath chicken is a black chicken, where the meat is also black and tastes better than a country chicken. This meat is said to have good medicinal value. Here all the meat is cooked in a clay pot. Even the rice is cooked in a traditional way where the water is drained. Although there were a lot of dishes in the country chicken, I went for a combo pack where we get most of the side dishes but in a lesser quantity… Ordered a non-veg meal where I get rice with mutton kulambu, country chicken kulambu, and dry fish kulambu … For side dishes, the combo pack had chicken pepper fry, kadaknath chicken fry, chicken Pallipalayam, chicken sinthamani, chicken nallampatti, mutton intestine, and mutton fry.

The country chicken pepper fry had a punch of curry leaf and pepper to it, the taste was different and very good… The kadaknath chicken fry was the star dish, the meat itself tasted very good. This place is a specialty for kadaknath chicken so if you are here don’t miss out on this dish…

The Pallipalayam and nallampatti also were equally good. Had a really amazing taste to them.

The mutton intestine was good but when compared to other dishes it tasted average. The mutton fry also was good .., no complaints about the mutton dish. Although I did not like the country chicken biryani… the non-veg meals with sides were a true Gramiya Virunthu ( village feast) I suggest that you go for non-veg meals with kadaknath chicken, nallampatti chicken, and Pallipalayam chicken. Don’t just have a good meal have a fantastic meal !!!! Rates - Nonveg meals - 80 INR Country chicken biryani- 200, rs All chicken and mutton dishes 200 gms - 200 INR

One of the best Kudal ( mutton intestine) that I’ve had in a long time. Kumaran mess is a small eatery situated in Solangapalayam, paasur on the Karur to Erode highway, around 20 km from erode. The breakfast timing starts at 7.30 am. For breakfast, there is idly, dosa varieties, parottas, etc., for non-veg they serve Kudal ( mutton intestine) curry

The mutton intestine Curry is one the best Kudal dishes that I had in a long time... The spiciness to it was perfect and so were all the flavors.., perfectly balanced!! They also fry the intestine and give .. the Kudal is tossed with pepper, onions, and curry leaves… this enhances its taste and is also served hot...

The combination of the soft parotta with the mutton intestine fry is really amazing .. The whole place was packed with regular customers who were all locals … the mutton intestine was over around 9.30 am .,, so if you want to taste this delicious dish then being here around 8 or 8.30 am would be perfect …. I wouldn’t recommend dosa varieties from here go for parrots with mutton intestine fry … Will be visiting Kumaran mess for lunch which is for another post soon! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ambiance of this place is like any dhaba, with huts... there is also an open dining area with an open screen.. the open theater experience is something new to paramathivelur.

I went here for lunch and ordered the chicken biryani, the non-veg meals, mutton sinthamani, naatukoli uppukari, nethali pepper fry, pigeon roast, and SK Maman machan special chicken... The Chicken biryani had a chicken leg piece and an egg.., it had a strong flavor to it, but other than that the taste was good... The chicken biryani can be improved. The non-veg meals were good... I would recommend this meal if you are here.., the country chicken kulambu, the fish kulambu, the patcha puli rasam, and the curd were excellent in this combo... A must try...

The pigeon roast was also good.., The SK maman machan special chicken is a Chinese-style dish and is a good starter... Chicken is deep-fried, tossed in sauce, and packed in an omelet.. a must-try one... Although the above-said dishes were good.., dishes like mutton sinthamani, naatukoli uppu kari, and nethali pepper fry were a disappointment.. the preparation of these dishes is done in a Chinese style which won't give the exact taste. If you are here for the evening, you get tandoori bread, naans, tandoori chicken, etc.., This place can be tried if you are passing by !!

Here at Addipoli puttus they make various varieties of puttus… All the puttus are sandwich types packed in a specially made container that can withhold heat for about one and a half an hour … The sandwich puttus are packed using a special machine … The puttus are packed in such a way that the chicken fill is in the center and puttu is packed to either side. The whole puttu set is then packed in the containers using those manual machines…

I tried the curry leaf chicken puttu and the chili garlic puttu… Though both had an overpowering flavor of curry leaf and chili garlic to them, when mixed with the Puttu they tasted good… The coconut curries that were given along with the puttus also tasted good… The wheat parotta with a Kerala-style egg curry was also good, the egg curry had coconut pieces in them and was made with coconut oil… Two wheat parotta with egg curry ( 2 eggs) costs 140 rs which I feel is a bit expensive…. The chicken sandwich puttu with gravy and jaggery costs 120 INR. எல்லா side dishes விட எனக்குப் பிடித்தது நாட்டுக்கோழி பெப்பர் ஃப்ரை மட்டுமே.., சரியான அளவு மிளகுத்தூள் மற்றும் கறிவேப்பிலையுடன் மிகவும் கச்சிதமாக இருந்தது. கண்டிப்பாக முயற்சிக்க வேண்டிய dish... நாட்டுக்கோழி நல்லம்பட்டியும் நல்லாக இருந்தது... மீன் வறுவல் பெரிய piece பாரா மீன் ஆகும். அதன் வெளிப்புற தோல் மிருதுவாக இருந்தது.. கண்டிப்பாக முயற்சிக்க வேண்டும். சிக்கன் சிந்தாமணியும் மற்றும் பள்ளிபாளையமும் நன்றாக இருந்தாலும் நாட்டுக்கோழி பெப்பர் ஃப்ரை இன்னும் சிறப்பாக இருந்தது.

சிக்கன் குழம்பு மற்றும் மட்டன் குழம்பு நன்றாக இருந்தது... சூப்பர் என்று சொல்லமாட்டேன் ஆனால் நன்றாக இருந்தது... And at last finishing the meal of with patch puli rasam was heaven…, don't miss out on the patcha puli rasam.., at least have a taste of it to know what I mean… A must-try place...
