The interiors of this place were quite nice... With palm trees as pillars on the veranda, cut trees as tables and chairs this place will be to your liking.

                                          

                                         

I went to have breakfast and was surprised to get Thattu idly when I ordered for idly. usually, we don't get thattu idly in these regions. The idly was soft and went really good along with coconut chutney and tomato chutney which was similar to homemade. The sambar was given in a small brass bucket, which also is new to hotels in these regions.

The onion roast that I had was just like any other roast that you get in and hotels. The coffee was strong and tasted excellent.

They serve veg food only. breakfast, lunch. dinner along with snacks, milkshakes are available. A sure to visit place when you are travelling from Karur to erode or vice-versa.

Usually, when a rooster loses in a fight, it’s either badly wounded or dead. This is mainly due to the knife cuts in the fight. So immediately after the rooster dies, they cook it hence called the kochai kari.

Kochai, is not cooked in the usual way. Its meat is very hard and so has to be cooked for more than an hour., more time required than that of mutton.

                                           

Kochai Karthi kadai has been cooking and serving kochai to its customers for almost 10 years, the owner stated going to rooster/ cockfight and used to cook the kochai meet and giving to friends and family, and so customers began to come for the specific taste that he gives. There are five spicy levels that can suit your needs.., the owner explains the variety of spice levels, and you can choose from them. Though the kochai biryani was just ok to me, what amazed me was the taste of the manjal vengaya vuruval. It tasted amazing and that too mixed with white rice.., it was heaven. The kocahi sinthamani also tasted superb.. For 1600/- INR you get soup, white rice, chicken kulambu( plain gravy) 300 gm of sinthamani, 300 gm of manja varuval , 300 gm pepper chicken with bones ( this is taken from the kulambu and fried) , 2 types of rasam . A maximum of 3 people is allowed to have this. If you are a foodie and you want to try something different.., then this is the right place for you. This Eatery is situated in salaipudur, near Kodumudi on the Erode to Karur highway.

Since there were no tandoori items available anywhere near that area, the owner has tapped into this niche. They have tandooris, naan varieties, parottas, fried rice, noodles, Biryani, and Chinese-style gravies for parota and naan.

                                     

The biryani is available in the afternoons only, the tandoori starts at 2 in the afternoon.. My suggestion is to try the tandoori chicken more than the biryani because the tandoori chicken tasted fantastic. They give salad and Mayonnaise with the chicken and it went so good together. This eateries name definitely sounds different.., and yes the owner explains the reason behind such a name. ‘Kudal Uruvi ‘ is a nickname given to the owner's granddad by the local people in those days. So not wanting to let go of that profound nickname along with his dad's name Nagaraj , he has named this Eatery Kudal Uruvi Nagaraj.

The breakfast starts around 8 in the morning., although it seemed there was less crowd at that time .., around 9.30 this small place was bussing with customers. Idly and parrota were customers choices and some of them also went for dosa, egg dosa, etc., Non-veg dishes like the mutton intestine kulambu ( Kudal kulambu) and the chicken chops kulambu were very fast-moving. They also had other dishes like the muttonhead curry, mutton chops curry, veg kurma, etc.,

Personally, I loved the Kudal kulambu which tasted so good.., probably one of the best Kudal kulambu I can say. The idly was not hot which was a letdown. The parotta also went so good with the Kudal kulambu. The mutton chops were good but I felt they weren’t soft enough. On the whole a superb breakfast with the best Kudal kulambu. You should definitely try out this place.

Situated near the Kannan department stores entrance in Karur, the ice cube restro cafe has a lovely ambiance. They serve burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes, smoothies, and many more...

Their Ferrero rocher milkshake did wow me..., it was so rich in flavors and I just loved it more than the chicken burger, club sandwich, and the fried chicken that I had.

The reason for the taste in their milkshake is because of the condensed milk which is made by them itself. The chicken burger with chicken patties, which is also made by them was also good, nice soft bun and creamy textures inside.

The club sandwich had nice cream mixed with chicken and was good too. The fried chicken served with mayo was also good... I wouldn’t say they tasted fantastic. What I can say is that the Ferrero rocher milkshake tasted fantastic and you should definitely give this place a try if u r here or any other place where this franchise is available. In business for 68 years and run by its 3 rd generation owner, mapillai gounder is a small mess in vellakovil, on the Karur to Coimbatore highway. With the simple menu consisting of country chicken biryani, country chicken fry, and meals they have been serving customers all these years.

                                      

Wondering why a country chicken is given more importance? it is because it’s a native breed and bread in open spaces not like the broiler that is grown for 45 days just for its meat. Moreover, no medicine or growth enhancers are given to this country chicken, resulting in a good taste to its meat.

                                      

All the dishes were good ... more than their biryani, I loved their white rice with country chicken fry and the Thanni kulambu. A thanni kulambu has the consistency of water and tastes like a chicken kulambu. A superb combination that you wouldn’t want to miss. Amman biryani... a hotel that is situated in Rasipuram town, just near the bus stand is famous for its Biryani, black pepper chicken, Korean chicken, and many more... although I liked their biryani.., the black pepper chicken and Korean chicken were just amazing. These Chinese-style dishes were made with sauces with pepper and chili flakes. One of the best dishes and I recommend that you try this out if you are here.
