The speciality of this string hoppers (idiyappam) is that its made with whole wheat flour.The wheat is first washed then dried.Later it is roasted in a slow flame.After the roasting process it is ground to a fine powder.

Hot water is used to make a dough. You can watch the video and see for yourself how it is done.

The best combination for string hoppers (idiyappam) is coconut sambol and sothi (every household in srilanka will know it)
