If you’re in Coimbatore and randomly feel like eating proper home-style mutton, this place is a hidden gem you don’t want to miss 😌🔥
I was around Peelamedu, roaming hungry (as usual 😅), and found this small, super simple mess behind PSG Hospital — Lakshmi Narasimha Bojanalaya. Looks like someone’s house… but trust me, the food hits like grandma-level cooking 🤌
Now here’s the twist — this place goes full mutton mode ONLY on Wednesdays & Fridays 🐐💥
And lucky me… I landed there on a Friday 😎
The menu looked like a mutton festival:
Sukka, kudal, liver fry, head fry, blood fry, brain fry, biryani… basically goat from head to toe 😄
What I tried 👇
Mutton Biryani 🍚
Simple, homely, not overloaded with masala — but full of flavor. Medium spice, perfectly cooked meat… this is the kind of biryani you keep eating without realizing how much you’ve finished 😅 Definitely a must-try!
Mutton Sukka 🔥
Solid dish! Mild spice but a very different, unique flavor. Not your usual sukka — in a good way. Loved it.
Brain Fry 🧠🍳
This one… WOW. Cooked with egg, onion, and tomato — soft, creamy, and super tasty. But here’s the problem… it gets over FAST. So if you want this, come early ⏰
Kudal
Good… but when compared to the sukka and brain fry, it didn’t steal the show.
Meals + Mutton Kulambu 🍛
Usually, mess kulambu is just okay… but here? Surprisingly very good! Proper home-style gravy that goes perfectly with rice.
Final Verdict 👇
Simple place. No fancy setup. Just solid, satisfying homemade food ❤️
👉 Go early (around 12–12:30 PM) if you want a full variety
👉 Especially if you don’t want to miss that brain fry 😄
