🍗🔥 இத்தனை Non-Veg Dishes-ஆ? 😱 Mamante Kada-வில் அசைவ விருந்து வேட்டை! 🔥🤤

 #itaste #thrissur #kerala

Beef, pork, octopus, and more! We went on a crazy non-veg food hunt packed with authentic Kerala flavours! 🤤 📍 Join us at Mamante Kada, Thrissur, Kerala, for a mouth-watering non-veg feast you won’t want to miss! 🍗🔥
📍 Location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mamante+Kada/@10.5334811,76.2152291,19.96z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x3ba7ef7272a8a249:0xbb9d49f075f2d62f!8m2!3d10.5335637!4d76.2154962!16s%2Fg%2F11n159jf50?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MTAxOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D We were in Thrissur, Kerala, and our mission was simple: hunt down some authentic Kerala-style food! 🍗🔥

That’s how we landed at **Mamante Kada**, a small eatery with a menu so massive that choosing what to eat was practically a full-time job! 😂 The place may be small, but the non-veg options? HUGE! Beef, pork, squid, octopus, fish, duck, chicken, quail, prawns, fish eggs… Aiyo! The list just kept going! 🤯 At this rate, we needed a separate stomach for every dish!

As much as I wanted to try everything on the menu, reality (and our stomach capacity) had other plans. So, we settled for pork, beef, nethili fish fry, prawns, octopus, and fish eggs. **And let me tell you, the food was absolutely fantastic!** 🤤 Every dish paired beautifully with Kerala rice. The spice levels were spot on, and the wonderful coconut-oil aroma? Simply exceptional! 🥩 **Pork Roast:** The star of the show! A delicious dry roast packed with flavour. This was hands down my favourite dish of the meal. 🥩 **Beef:** Equally delicious and full of flavour. But if you ask me to choose between the beef and pork, the pork wins by a small but tasty margin! 🐟 **Nethili Fish Fry:** Crispy, flavourful, and coated in a lovely masala. A solid choice! 🐙 **Octopus:** The texture reminded me of squid, and the taste was pretty good too. Definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous! 🥚 **Fish Eggs:** A tasty dry roast that added another interesting flavour to the feast. And what about the rice? It came with a few vegetable side dishes that we could help ourselves to from the table. There was also sambar, Kerala-style fish curry, and a thick beef gravy (locally called *chaaru*). The **fish curry made with coconut milk** deserves a special mention. It had that lovely Kerala-style flavour, and I absolutely loved it! ❤️
**Our verdict?** If you love non-veg food and want to explore a variety of dishes without burning a hole in your pocket, Mamanda Kada is definitely worth checking out. Just one small warning: the place can get pretty noisy! So, if you're looking for a peaceful, candlelight dinner, this might not be your spot. But if you're there for some serious eating, who cares about the noise? Let the food do the talking! 😂🔥 💰 **The bill:** 4 meals + 6 non-veg dishes = just ₹950!
Yes, you read that right! A proper non-veg feast for ₹950. Now that's what I call value for money! If you're in Thrissur, would you dare to try the octopus, or would you stick to the good old chicken? Tell us in the comments! 👇😋 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Location; https://www.google.com/maps/place/Saravana+Mess+-+Sivasakthi+Catering+Kulambu+Kadai/@10.9579796,78.0827618,20z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x3baa2f004c19e1bf:0xcc8d64fe15258f3!8m2!3d10.9579796!4d78.0831167!16s%2Fg%2F11zzbcn25_?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MTAwNi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D ** சிவசக்தி குழம்பு கடை – New Shop, Same Taste? 🤔🍗 **

Siva Sakthi Kulambu Kadai is a small non-veg spot in Jawahar Bazaar, Karur, which originally operated right out of their home. Small place, tasty food, and a local favourite! If you missed my earlier video of their old shop, check out the link below. 👇 https://youtu.be/brYJwQ0ewro Now, they’ve moved to a new location, upgraded their setup, and shifted to Old Dindigul Road, where more people can easily drop in. Naturally, I had to visit and see if the food had upgraded along with the shop! 😁 With plenty of dishes on the menu, I settled for mutton biryani, meals, naatukoli Chinthamani, mutton chukka, and mutton nalli. Basically, a small lunch… if you consider feeding an entire family a small lunch! 😂

**Let's talk about the food! 🍛** The mutton biryani was decent, and the meat was cooked well. However, a slight smell from the mutton was noticeable, and I felt the biryani had room for improvement. Good, yes. Mind-blowing? Not quite! The naatukoli Chinthamani and mutton chukka were good too. But here's the problem with me: *good is good, but I want great!* 😎 Both dishes had potential, but I felt they could be taken to the next level. **And then came the mutton nalli… 😭** This was the biggest disappointment of the meal. The pieces were so hard that separating them with my fingers felt like a mini gym workout. Even when biting into them, the hardness was obvious. There were around three to four pieces on the plate, and each one seemed to have its own personality. One was slightly soft, while the others were practically auditioning to become stones! 🪨😂
**My final verdict!** Personally, I felt the food at their old home-based shop tasted much better. The new place may be more accessible and convenient, but for me, the food needs to catch up with the new address. The biryani, the side dishes, and especially the mutton nalli all have room for improvement. One more thing — the kitchen noise level could use some attention, too! 😅 I genuinely hope they get things back on track because I remember enjoying their food more at the old shop. A new shop is great, but at the end of the day, **it's the taste that brings customers back!** ❤️ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

பச்சை மிளகாய் சிக்கன் முதல் காட்டுவருவல் வரை. கரூர்–திண்டுக்கல் ரோட்டில் Super நாட்டுக்கோழி விருந்து

 #itaste #kovaikochaivirunthu

🔥 Clay pots, firewood, and authentic Peruvadai country chicken — this was one serious Virunthu! 🌶️ From Pacha Millagai Chicken to Kaatu Varuval, these signature dishes truly stole the show! Location;

We were on our way to Dindigul for lunch when we spotted this place—Kovai Kochai Virunthu—on the way. And you know how it is… when a food place suddenly appears in front of you, plans can change very quickly! 😄 So, instead of continuing to Dindigul, we decided to stop here and see what this place had to offer. Located at Ayarmadam near Vedasandur on the Karur–Dindigul highway, this rustic, village-style eatery serves food cooked the old-fashioned way—in clay pots over a firewood stove.

The place has small huts and a simple, pleasant ambience. It definitely looked like a nice spot for a proper afternoon virundhu. For lunch, we started with their meals, which came with rice, Naatukoli Kulambu, and two varieties of rasam.
But obviously, we weren't going to stop there! 😄 For the side dishes, we ordered Naatukoli Pallipalayam, Naatukoli Chinthamani, Naatukoli Pacha Millagai, and Kaatu Varuval.

And because we apparently didn't order enough food already… we also got the Naatukoli Biryani! 😂 Now, coming to the food. The Naatukoli Pallipalayam was just average for us. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but it didn't really stand out. The Naatukoli Chinthamani was decent too. No complaints, but again, nothing that made us go, “Aha… this is the one!” But then came the Naatukoli Pacha Millagai and Kaatu Varuval — and these two completely changed the game! Both were excellent. The meat was cooked perfectly, the flavours were fresh and full of character, and the overall taste was simply outstanding. The owners had actually recommended these two as their signature dishes. And honestly, they weren't exaggerating. They really were the stars of the meal. The Naatukoli Thanni Kulambu was another highlight. It had a lovely flavour and went extremely well with the hot white rice. This is the kind of combination where you tell yourself, “Just one more handful of rice…” and suddenly the banana leaf is empty! 😄 The Naatukoli Biryani was good as well. They told us that they were trying it out for the first time, so considering that, it was quite good. There is definitely some room for improvement, but it was still enjoyable. Overall All in all, this turned out to be a fantastic meal and a very unexpected find on our way to Dindigul. The one thing that disappointed us a little was the price. They charge around ₹300 per plate/portion of Naatukoli, which I personally felt was slightly on the expensive side. And one more small point — the name says “Kochai”, but I wouldn't really describe these birds as kotchai kozhi. They are actually original Peruvedai country chickens. Despite the name ‘Kochai,’ these are not fighter roosters; they are traditional Peruvedai country chickens. But if you're travelling along the Karur–Dindigul highway and you're looking for something different from the usual highway food, this place is definitely worth stopping at. And if you do visit, don't miss their Pacha Millagai Chicken and Kaatu Varuval. Those two were the real heroes of this virundhu! 🔥🐓🍗 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
