🌊 **A Hidden Beachside Getaway in Thrissur, Kerala | Katadi Beach Homestay 🏖️🌴**
What if I told you that you could enjoy a beautiful, almost deserted beach in Kerala, stay just 200 metres from the sea, and not burn a hole in your pocket? Sounds tempting, right? 😍
During our trip to Thrissur, we were looking for a peaceful, budget-friendly homestay near the beach. After quite a bit of searching, we finally stumbled upon **Katadi Beach Homestay** — a cosy little place that turned out to be just what we were looking for!
🏡 **THE STAY**
At ₹3,000 per night, we got a cute little wooden cabin with a bed, a dining table, and a small kitchen setup. Nothing luxurious or over the top, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And considering that the beach was just a short walk away, we felt it was pretty good value for money!
The property also has a swimming pool, but here's a little heads-up. During our visit, the pool didn't appear to have a proper filtration system, and the water didn't seem to be changed regularly. So, personally, I'd give the swimming pool a miss!
Another small downside was the early morning music from a nearby temple. If you're someone who loves sleeping in during a holiday, you might find it a little disturbing. 😅
🏖️ **NOW COMES THE BEST PART — THE BEACH!**
And this is where the place really stole our hearts! ❤️
Imagine walking onto a beautiful beach and finding almost nobody there. No crowds, no noise, no chaos — just you, the sand, the waves, and the endless sea!
It genuinely felt like the entire beach was ours.
You could spend hours playing in the waves, taking a peaceful stroll along the shore, soaking in the beautiful scenery, or simply sitting quietly and listening to the rhythmic sound of the ocean.
**Sometimes, doing absolutely nothing is the best part of a holiday!** 🌊
And trust me, this beach was the perfect place for that.
🍽️ **WHAT ABOUT FOOD?**
You can order food through Swiggy or Zomato, so getting something to eat shouldn't be a problem. There are also a few local eateries nearby, although having your own vehicle would definitely make things more convenient.
❤️ **SO, IS IT WORTH STAYING HERE?**
If you're looking for a fancy resort with luxury facilities, this might not be your cup of tea.
But if you're someone who enjoys peaceful beaches, simple stays, beautiful coastal scenery, and a little escape from the usual tourist crowds, **Katadi Beach Homestay is definitely worth checking out!**
It's particularly suitable for two people looking for a quiet beachside getaway.
For us, the real highlight wasn't the wooden cabin or the facilities. It was that wonderful feeling of having an entire stretch of beach almost to ourselves.
